I haven't stopped talking about Sydney's potato chip omelette ever since she whipped it up during season 2 of The Bear nearly a year ago and as we've covered extensively here, I try to maintain a strict gluten/dairy free diet to avoid additional endo inflammation so naturally, I attempted a version of my own and posted to TikTok. Â
I don't know if it's spelled omelet or omelette, but omelette feels fancier so for the sake of this post, I'm rolling with that...
An omelette has always been an easy and quick source of protein for me and I may be exaggerating here, but I feel like I've perfected mine.
Ingredients:
2 Eggs
Country Crock Plant Butter Avocado Oil
Pepper
Red Pepper Flakes
Cayenne Pepper
Paprika
Cholula Original Hot Sauce

Directions:
LOLing as I type this.. not a chef by any means so bear with my wording...
Melt the butter on the skillet on medium heat
Whisk the 2 eggs (I'm lazy and use a fork rather than an actual whisk) and pour onto the skillet
Sprinkle the seasonings onto the omelette, using however much or little you prefer
Fold the omelette and flip to confirm both sides are cooked (I like mine well done)
Serve with a side of hot sauce for dipping
